ISLAMABAD Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) Director General Syed Amir Hamza Gilani has said that the board has already released first and second quarter grants to all the affiliated federations but third quarter grant will only be released to those federations who abide by the sports policy as per directions of Supreme Court regarding third-time restriction on holding of office and that too in true letter and <a href="http://www.goodbuyjordans.com/">http://www.goodbuyjordans.com/</a>. Talking to The Nation on Tuesday, Gilani said he was the only DG who had taken stand on the implementation of government orders on sports policy in line with Supreme Court orders despite facing lot of unjust and unwanted pressure from different quarters. “Basic reason behind declining sports is not financial restrictions imposed by government or the PSB as the board had provided sufficient funds to all the federations as per their performances. The PSB always urges different federations to bring innovative ideas so that the board can provide them funds from special heads. It was because of some federation’s officials’ personal ego problems and vested interests. They form parallel bodies and not only dampened the future of sports but also the country as fake bodies cause too many problems and also provide poor results in international events,” he said. “I have always discouraged such parallel bodies and will continue to do so in future too as I am not afraid of what will be outcome of this. We are working on a planning not only to discourage such federations but also bring tough rules on the federations which are working against the spirit of sports,” the DG added. He said the PSB had given recommendation of Rs 29 million for the up-gradation of Naltar Ski slop and also installation of Piston Bully machine from Germany. “Soon all the minor details will be sorted out and Naltar ski slop will attract not only national players but also international skiers and help the country in resumption of international sports back to Pakistan, which the country needs badly to present its soft image to international community,” he stated. “We are open for healthy criticism but we will not be blackmailed on principles.
