itSMF International Partner, BCS Extends Range of Qualifications Abroad

BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, is proactively extending its range of IT qualifications abroad. The announcement at this year's itSMF USA conference will mean accredited training organizations (ATOs) can apply to be recognized for BCS examinations more quickly, and at no additional cost.

Qualifications available from BCS will include ITIL, ISO 20000 and the recently launched BCS Foundation Certificate in Green IT, in addition to its long-standing BCS qualifications such as Software testing and Business Analysis. The changes will result in better business opportunities for ATOs, and access to a wider range of BCS qualifications.

BCS is setting up a network of partners with a focus on India, Australia, Germany and North America.

Michiel van der Voort, BCS International Director, says: 'Since beginning this drive to extend our reach around the globe, we've witnessed a real appetite for BCS qualifications and services. These agreements have allowed us to work in a new way by utilizing local accredited organizations to provide IT professionals with the qualifications they specifically need at a local level.'
