itSMF UK Chair steps down

itSMF UK Chairman, Maggie Kneller, has stepped down as Chairman, with immediate effect. Maggie, who is a well known figure in the IT Service Management world, has played a significant role in shaping itSMF Ltd since being elected to the then Management Board in 1996. After serving on various Executive sub-committees, she was elected to the Board of Directors as Vice Chair in 2005 and Chairman in 2007. During her tenure as Vice Chair, she held the post of interim Chief Executive of the UK Chapter as well as Chief Executive for itSMF International.

Maggie will continue to be involved with itSMF UK as a member of the ISO/IEC 20000 Accreditation Panel.

The Management Board and the Board of Directors of itSMF UK acknowledged Maggie's dedication, work and time spent at itSMF, praising her contribution to the organisation, whilst wishing Maggie well for the future.

Until the Management Board identifies and appoints a replacement, Keith Aldis, the company's Chief Executive Officer, will act as a focal point for all enquiries and support the Management Board. An announcement on Maggie's replacement will follow in due course.
